As I am confined to the bed, waiting for my knee to heal (almost pundish sounding there!), I see more tv than is healthy.
I have been watching the continuing saga of the Gloucester, Mass. high school that 'suddenly' finds itself with an undeniable issue of statutory aged girls who are pregnant.
The last few days they have claimed there was a pact of sorts that the girls went out to intentionally have sex in order to get pregnant for various reasons.
Today the mayor appears to be performing some damage control by saying there was no such 'pact' (by definition) made.
Hello? Does it really matter if it was one way or the other? Does it really matter if they gathered together, scripted a contract, pricked their fingers and signed with their blood, and made up a rhythmic chant and secret handshake of the 'statutory-rape age sister hood'? Maybe they even have a cool sign they can signal each other with and some trick colors to identify the gang (as if their bulging bellies on their adolescent bodies weren't enough identity).
Massachusetts has loooooong been proud of touting itself as a very ethically liberal minded people. This state has been at the forefront of homosexual activity, a pro-death abortion stance, and many other insidious programs.
So what are they all in a hoopla about? This is the pay-off. All of those 'rights' demonstrations and legislation from the judicial bench is starting to come full circle.
Most do not think of homosexuality, heinous lyrics in music, or violent video games as related - especially to a bunch of teeny-boppers getting knocked up. But the reality is, they are.
You see, there are only two realms out there; good and evil. One is of God, the other is of satan. And when people do something like, deny His word as authoritative for living and subsequently tear down His commandments at every corner possible - and then erect the world's ungodly icons, what exactly did they expect to happen?
They can't have it both ways - one can't hold up evil as a standard and then expect good to come out as a result.
I do believe we better think about this as our next election draws near.
