The Pastoral Epistles

I Timothy 4:6

In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.

Christ Jesus established the assembly of His people as His body, most commonly referred to as “the church.”  However, within this “body” are men and women who include the young and old, married, single and widowed, rich and poor, ambitious and lethargic, passive and aggressive, among many other facets.  How are they ever to be properly led?

The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, instructs the instructors in the leadership of the Lord’s church.  Traditionally known as the “Pastoral Epistles,” the letters of I and II Timothy and Titus encompass the wisdom of God regarding relationships within the Christian community.
